Greater control for Angelus P seamers

The Eccentric Adjustable Cap Pusher Cam Roll Pin is designed to work in conjunction with the end-feeder on the newest Angelus P-type can seamers.
Part of an expanded range of can closing tools by Tool Makers International, the pin eliminates end-feed problems such as lid separation, resulting in streamlined productivity on the seamer production line.
The part consists of two components: a pin and a cap pusher cam roll. Both are made from 440-C grade stainless steel. By rotating a screw-type adjustment, greater control is obtained in the way the lid-feed fingers push can lids through the end feeder. It provides adjustment options on Angelus P end feeders where none existed before.
According to Patrick Chronis, VP manufacturing, "Initial set-up time of the feed pocket is reduced. The traditional method is to heat and bend the feed fingers of the cap pusher. That process can take up to two hours. Set-up can now be accomplished in a few minutes. During canning production, this part reduces adjustments to about five minutes rather than 30 to 45 minutes. The increase in productivity is a measurable benefit."
